History:

The birth of Chow Chow is hidden in the darkness of old times. They say this dog is several thousand of years, and among the oldest dogs which exist.

China is their home land, were they already thousands of years ago systematecly planned breed of this beautiful animal. They used Chows as temple guardians, to keep evil spirits away.

This beautiful and especial dog always woke peoples attention with their blue thoungh and a lions look a like. Someone believe they look like a teddybear with their heavy built body.

In earlier descriptions and standards they write this is a typical one mans dog, but we believe this is not true anymore.

The Chow is a lovely family dog, which actually is happy even when you come visit!

They can be stubberd, but actually in a charming way.

If a Chow turns his back against you, he show you trust and want your attention!

In other cases your attention can be a bit too much – enough is enough – I will come back later…

We bought our first Chow Chow, a black smooth female named Lohov`s Moonlight Shadow, in 1985.

We fell truly in love with this little bear, even then a smooth was a seldom variant to see. Her grandfather, NUCH SUCH Lohov`s Fiasco, was the first smooth in Norway.

We even had to tell judges that it was a smooth joining shows. It was difficult to reach top with this coat variant, but she won 2 CC`s and BOS in our Chow special.

She got her first litter in 1987, were we kept NUCH SUCH An – King. She also got a smooth female in same litter.

The Chow melted our hearts, and a new puppy was moving in, a red female – NUCH Frosty Pearl`s Aitolia. She gave us one litter with 3 smooth males and the bitch NUCH SUCH Unas Charming Charite. Sadly we lost her too soon.

Later we bought Frosty Pearl`s Bellatrix, a red female, and she was the one which upgraded our breed. She gave us 23 puppies in four litters. She was a healthy female, but no big sucsess in the show ring.

She is the mother of NUCH Unas Estefan Eagle, NUCH Unas Felicity, NUCH Unas Gentleman and several CC winners.

Today we got 5 Chows and preciate these dogs lovely and especially temperament.
